The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

Psalm 23:1King James Version

Plain English

This verse compares God to a shepherd who takes care of His sheep. When we follow God, He provides everything we need, just like a shepherd makes sure his sheep have food, water, and safety.

Devotional

Having God as our shepherd means we can trust Him with all our needs. Shepherds in Biblical times stayed with their sheep 24/7, protecting them from danger and leading them to good pastures. God watches over you with the same constant care.
