The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Plain English
"All scripture is given by inspiration of God" means all Scripture is breathed out by God. It is "profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness," useful for teaching, for showing us where we are wrong, for setting us straight, and for training us in right living. The aim is that God's person may be "perfect," meaning complete and ready, "throughly furnished unto all good works," and unto means to, fully equipped to do every good work.
Devotional
A toolbox helps because the right tool is already inside when the sink leaks. You do not invent a wrench in the emergency. Scripture is God's tool for teaching and correcting His people, so they are ready for good work. Open it before the day springs a leak, not only after.
