The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

John 13:34-35King James Version

Plain English

Jesus gives "a new commandment," that "ye love one another; as I have loved you." Ye means you all, and the pattern is His love, not our mood. "By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another," so people will recognize His followers by that love.

Devotional

Families are often known by a habit everyone can see, like who shows up with soup when someone is sick. Jesus says His people will be known in that same public way. If we love one another as He loved us, the sign people see is love, not a slogan.
