"This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you." Ye means you all. Jesus does not offer a nice suggestion, because He gives a command, and the measure is the way He has loved His people. Our love is meant to take its shape from His.
Devotional
When the laundry piles up, love can look like folding a basket that is not yours. Jesus loved His friends with real, costly care, and He tells them to love one another in that same way. A finished basket will not save anyone, but it can obey this commandment in an ordinary room.
