The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
Plain English
"Let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God." Loveth means loves, and knoweth means knows. Love comes from God, and a life of this real love shows a person is born of God and knows Him. John means the love God gives, not a passing soft mood.
Devotional
Bread does not appear in an empty jar. Someone has to put it there. Love is of God, so we love because He is the source, not because we scraped kindness out of a dry cupboard. People who know Him learn to love one another from His supply.
