The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Plain English
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." Ye means you all, and unto means to. Jesus invites us to ask, seek, and knock, and "every one that asketh receiveth," so the one who asks receives, the one who seeks finds, and the one who knocks has the door opened. He is teaching God's children to keep coming to their Father, who gives what is good.
Devotional
Knocking once and walking away is different from staying until you hear steps inside, and some prayers are like that door. Jesus says ask, seek, and knock, and He says the one who keeps at it is heard. Come back to God with the same need, because a good Father is not annoyed by a child who asks again.
