The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
Plain English
"Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me." Ye means you all. Jesus tells His friends not to let their hearts stay stirred up and afraid, since they already believe in God and must believe in Him too. He said this when trouble was near, so the words fit unsettled days.
Devotional
Before a hard appointment, your heart can race while you are still in the driveway, and Jesus does not shame that feeling. He says do not let your heart be troubled, and He ties the calm to trust. You believe in God, so believe also in Jesus, who spoke these words to worried friends.
