"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him." A strong hold is a strong safe place, and knoweth means knows. This line sits in a book that also speaks honestly about God's judgment. Right there it says the Lord is good, a shelter in the day of trouble, and He knows the people who trust Him.
