The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
Plain English
"The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble." Oppressed means people who are pressed down, so God is a shelter for them, not only for people who feel strong. Those who "know thy name will put their trust in thee" — thy means your, and thee means you — because the Lord has "not forsaken them that seek thee." He has not abandoned the people who seek Him.
Devotional
Unfair treatment can press a person until a simple errand feels heavy. This psalm says the Lord is a refuge for the oppressed in times of trouble, and He has not forsaken those who seek Him. If you are pressed down, you may run to Him. If someone else is pressed down, you can offer a small, practical shelter in His name.
