The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

Psalm 145:18King James Version

Plain English

"The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth." Nigh means near, and unto means to. God is near to people who call on Him, and in truth means honestly, without a mask. He is near to honest callers, not only to people with polished words.

Devotional

Some prayers get dressed up until they no longer sound like us, because we hide the real need under nicer words. This verse ties God's nearness to calling on Him in truth. Say the plain thing, because the Lord is nigh to that kind of prayer.
