Plain English
Paul says, "By grace are ye saved through faith," and "that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works." Grace is God's kindness you did not earn, and faith is trusting Him. Ye means you. You are saved by grace through faith, not by piling up good deeds to impress God, so that no one may boast.
Devotional
A wrapped gift with your name on it is set in your hands in the living room. You did not earn it by extra chores meant to impress the giver. You sit down, open your hands, and receive it. Trusting Jesus is how empty hands take the salvation God freely gives.
