The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Matthew 28:5-6King James Version

Plain English

The angel told the women, "Fear not ye," and "He is not here: for he is risen, as he said." Fear not ye means do not be afraid. They had come looking for Jesus, who was crucified, and the angel invited them to see the place where the Lord lay. Jesus really rose from the dead, just as He had promised.

Devotional

They expected a sealed grave and a body wrapped in cloth. Instead they were told to look at the place where the Lord had lain, and He was not there. Grief had walked them to the tomb, but death had not kept Jesus. The news is the same on any morning of the year, because He is risen.
