The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
Plain English
God "hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son." Delivered means rescued, and translated means moved from one realm into another. In the Son we have redemption through His blood, which means we are bought back and set free. That redemption is "even the forgiveness of sins."
Devotional
A son leads you out of a dark back room and into the main room where the lamps are already on. He sets a chair for you, and you are not a guest who must sneak back into the dark at dusk. God moves His people into the kingdom of His dear Son. Forgiveness of sins comes with that move, through the Son's blood.
