The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
Plain English
Hebrews says Jesus "is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him," because "he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Uttermost means completely, all the way to the end. Ever liveth means He lives forever, and intercession means He prays for them. He can fully save the people who come to God through Him, since He always lives to pray for them.
Devotional
You sit in a hospital hallway and cannot find a polished prayer. The words tangle, and you are tired of sounding brave. Jesus lives to pray for those who come to God by Him. You can come, even with a thin prayer, and trust that He saves completely and speaks to the Father for His people.
