The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Psalm 30:5King James Version

Plain English

The psalm says, "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning," which means tears may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning. His anger endures only a moment, and in His favor, His kindness, is life. Night weeping is honest and real. It does not get to write the ending.

Devotional

The clock is deep in the night, and the pillow is damp. You are not required to perform happiness in the dark. Morning light eventually finds the edge of the curtain, and mercy has a way of meeting people there. Joy can come in the morning even if the night was full of tears.
