The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.

Psalm 73:26King James Version

Plain English

The psalm says, "My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Faileth means fails, and portion means the share you live on, the treasure that remains yours. Body and courage can give out. God remains the strength of the heart and the lasting portion.

Devotional

The laundry basket waits at the bottom of the stairs, and your legs will not take it up the way they once did. Pride would rather not admit the change. Flesh and heart fail, and Scripture does not call that a surprise. God is still the strength of your heart, and He is your portion forever, which outlasts the stairs.
