The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
Plain English
God "shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust," and "his truth shall be thy shield and buckler." Thee, thou, and thy mean you and your. The picture is a bird covering its young. A buckler is a small shield held close, and God's truth is the protection His people trust.
Devotional
A sudden rain catches you and a child in the yard, and you pull your coat wide so the child is under it. Feathers and wings are that kind of cover, only surer. You are not asked to be your own roof. You trust under His care, and you take His truth as shield and buckler.
