The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation.

Isaiah 12:2King James Version

Plain English

The song says, "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid," because "the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song." Behold means look, and salvation means God Himself rescues. He has become the singer's salvation. Strength and song belong together, and trust is how fear loses its right to run the day.

Devotional

The bills are still in a neat stack you have not solved, and a pot simmers on the stove. You can trust and sing in the same room. God is salvation, strength, and song, not only a distant helper for emergencies. Fear does not get to be the loudest voice while you remember who He is.
