The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.

Proverbs 2:6King James Version

Plain English

'The Lord giveth wisdom' means the Lord gives wisdom. Knowledge and understanding come out of His mouth, and cometh means comes. You do not have to invent wisdom, because God gives it through what He says.

Devotional

A faucet drips, and you are not sure which washer to change. An older neighbor has fixed that leak, so you ask instead of guessing. God's wisdom comes the same way, from His mouth rather than from a proud hunch.
