The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: So shalt thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man.
Plain English
'Let not mercy and truth forsake thee' means do not let mercy and truth leave you, and thee means you. Bind them about your neck, and write them on the table of your heart, which means keep them close and let them sink in. Then you find favor and good understanding with God and with people.
Devotional
Some people keep a folded note in a shirt pocket so they will not forget a promise. Mercy and truth belong that close, worn where you live and written where you decide. Tell the truth, and let the truth be kind.
