The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand.
Plain English
'Hear counsel, and receive instruction,' so that you may be wise in your latter end, which means your later years. Thou mayest means you may. People have many devices, or plans, in the heart, but the counsel of the Lord is what shall stand.
Devotional
Two people on a porch can look at the same problem and draw two different maps. Both maps feel clever in the moment. The Lord's counsel is the plan that still stands when the others fade.
