The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
Plain English
The blessed person does not walk in ungodly counsel, stand in the way of sinners, or sit with the scornful, and those old verbs mean walk, stand, and sit. His delight is in the Lord's law, and he meditates on it day and night. He is like a tree by the rivers of water, with fruit in its season, and that prospering is a healthy life, not a promise of wealth.
Devotional
A tree by a creek keeps its roots in the water, and it does not drop ripe fruit every morning of the year. It bears when the season is right, and the leaf holds. Stay near God's word the way that tree stays near the water.
