This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Plain English
The book of the law should not depart out of your mouth, and thy means your. Meditate on it day and night so you do what is written in it. The prosperous way and good success in this verse mean a life that moves forward in obedience, not a promise that you will become rich.
Devotional
A shelf goes up straight when you keep the directions in your hand and actually follow them. Admiring the paper is not the same as driving the screws. God's book belongs in your mouth, your thoughts, and your actions.
