The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Plain English
'The word of God is quick, and powerful,' and quick means living, not speedy. It is sharper than a two-edged sword, and it discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. God's word is alive, and it cuts through to the truth of what we really mean.
Devotional
A ripe peach can look fine until a knife opens it and shows what is under the skin. God's word does that true opening in us. It is not a dead page you glance at and forget.
