The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

Ephesians 1:7King James Version

Plain English

'Redemption through his blood' means being bought back and set free at the cost of Jesus' blood. In whom means in Jesus. This forgiveness of sins is according to the riches of His grace, and grace is God's rich gift, not a thin excuse.

Devotional

A bill can sit on the table until someone else marks it paid, and you did not earn the stamp. You received it. Forgiveness comes through the blood of Jesus, so thank Him for a payment you could not make.
