The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Romans 3:23-24King James Version

Plain English

Everybody sins and comes short of the glory of God, and 'come short' means fall short. Nobody clears God's glory by being a little nicer than the next person. 'Justified freely' means being made right with God as a gift, by His grace, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

Devotional

A clinic waiting room holds different ages and different stories, and every chair has a need. God does not pick out a few heroes and ignore the rest. Everybody sins, and being made right with Him is a gift through Jesus.
