Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Plain English
'Stand fast' means stand firm in the liberty, or freedom, with which Christ has made us free, and hath means has. Do not get entangled again with a yoke of bondage, a heavy harness of slavery. This is freedom in Christ, not freedom to be cruel.
Devotional
An open gate is a gift when you walk into a good field. It is a sad use of freedom if you trample a neighbor's garden on the way. Christ has set His people free from the old yoke, so stand firm and do not turn liberty into a weapon.
