The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Psalm 86:5King James Version

Plain English

'Thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive' means You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive. He does not need to be coaxed into kindness. He is plenteous in mercy, which means abundant in mercy, unto all who call upon Him.

Devotional

Some phones ring a long time before anyone answers. The Lord is not like a reluctant neighbor, because He is good and ready to forgive. Call on Him, and do not wait until you sound impressive.
