The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

1 Timothy 1:15King James Version

Plain English

This is a faithful saying, and 'acceptation' means it deserves to be received by everyone. Christ Jesus came to save sinners, and He entered the world for that purpose. Paul calls himself chief, the foremost, telling the truth about his own need and about the mission of Jesus.

Devotional

Some people know they have needed more help than they can explain without shame. Paul puts himself at the front of that line and still calls the saying faithful. If he could say chief, you can come without pretending you need only a little help.
