The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God: Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the LORD do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.
Plain English
'Intreat me not to leave thee' means do not plead with me to leave you. Ruth says where Naomi goes, she will go, and where Naomi lodges, she will lodge, and thy means your. She takes Naomi's people and Naomi's God as her own, all the way to the grave, and this is a daughter-in-law's loyalty.
Devotional
Two women on a long road can choose different turns, and Ruth refuses the easier goodbye. Where Naomi goes, Ruth will go, and Naomi's God will be her God. Loyalty like that tells a lonely person they will not be dropped.
