Younger people are told to submit to the elder, which means show respect and a willingness to learn, and ye means you. All of them are to be clothed with humility. God resisteth the proud and giveth grace to the humble, which means He resists pride and gives grace to humility, and respect does not mean obeying someone who is hurting you.
Devotional
At a crowded door, letting an older person go first is a small coat of humility. It costs little and says a great deal. Wear respect on purpose, and do not confuse it with staying in harm.
