The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

John 15:4-5King James Version

Plain English

'Abide in me' means stay, remain, and make your home in Jesus. A branch cannot bear fruit by itself unless it abides in the vine, and ye means you. Without Him you can do nothing that lasts, because He is the vine and His people are the branches.

Devotional

A grapevine on a fence keeps giving fruit only while the branches stay attached. A cut branch may look green for a little while, and then it dries. Stay with Jesus, because the fruit grows from the vine.
