The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

Isaiah 26:4King James Version

Plain English

"Trust ye in the LORD for ever" means trust the Lord, and keep trusting him. It is not a one-day experiment, "In the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength." The strength in him does not run out. When your own strength is used up by evening, his strength is still everlasting.

Devotional

The porch post has held the roof through storms for fifty years. People lean on it without thinking twice. Isaiah says to trust in the Lord forever, because in the Lord Jehovah is everlasting strength. Your strength fails, and his does not.
