The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him. It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.
Plain English
"The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him", and unto means to, and seeketh means seeks. "It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD." Quiet waiting is not the same as not caring. It is hope without frantic thrashing, because the Lord's salvation is worth the wait.

You sit on a bench outside an office that has not opened yet. Pacing the sidewalk will not turn the lock any sooner. Lamentations says it is good to hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the Lord. The Lord is good to the soul that seeks him, and waiting on him is not wasted time.
