The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Plain English
"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise", and you come toward God the way a person walks through a gate, carrying thanks. "Be thankful unto him, and bless his name" means thank him and speak well of his name. The reason is firm: "the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations." His truth lasts for every generation, not only for one lifetime.
Devotional
You pause with your hand on the latch before you walk into your own yard. Psalm 100 says to enter God's gates that way, with thanksgiving and praise. The Lord is good. His mercy is everlasting, and his truth endures to all generations, including the children who will use that gate after you.
