The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
Plain English
"My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Need means what you truly need, not every want on a list. "According to his riches" means the supply fits God's wealth, not our small account, and it comes "by Christ Jesus", and this is care from God. It is not a promise that you will become rich, and it does not say hard days never come.
Devotional
The electric bill and the medicine bottle sit side by side on the table. You can see the numbers. Paul points past both of them to a greater store: my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Tell him the real needs, and trust his supply without turning the verse into a plan for luxury.
