The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Plain English
God says, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse," a tenth, brought to the place where offerings were kept so there would be "meat," food, "in mine house." "Prove me now herewith" means test me in this, "saith the LORD of hosts." He pictures opening "the windows of heaven" and pouring out a blessing you do not have room to hold. This is an invitation to trust God with money, and it does not mean giving makes people rich, and it is not a hard sell.
Devotional
A person sits at the kitchen table with the checkbook open and feels the pinch of every line. Malachi records God's invitation to bring the tithe and prove him. Trust him with what you set aside for his work, and do not hear it as a bargain that turns gifts into riches. Hear it as a chance to trust the Lord of hosts with money.
