The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord, And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

Luke 1:46-47King James Version

Plain English

Mary said, "My soul doth magnify the Lord," and doth means does, while magnify means to make great, to lift the Lord up in praise. "My spirit hath rejoiced in God my Savior," and hath means has, so she calls him her Savior. Soul and spirit both join in, and her song starts with God, not with her own rank.

Devotional

Mary has just heard news that could have made her talk only about herself. Instead she says her soul magnifies the Lord, and her spirit has rejoiced in God her Savior. You can say the same thing over a sink of dishes. Make God great with your words, and rejoice that he is your Savior.
