The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh.
Plain English
"When they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him." They came into a house and saw the child himself, and worship came first, "They presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense, and myrrh." Frankincense and myrrh are costly fragrant gifts, and gold is a royal gift. They opened their treasures and gave them to the young child Jesus.
Devotional
Visitors step into a house, see the young child with Mary his mother, and get down in worship. Then they open their treasures and present gold, frankincense, and myrrh. The gifts were costly, and the worship came before the presents, and you may not have gold or rare spices. You can still bow to Jesus and give him a kindness that costs you something.
