The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

John 1:14King James Version

Plain English

"The Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us" means Jesus took on a real human body and lived among ordinary people. "Only begotten of the Father" means He is the one and only Son. Those who saw Him saw glory "full of grace and truth," kindness and what is real.

Devotional

A neighbor who only waves from the road is not the same as one who comes in and sits at your table. Jesus did not shout His care from far away. He dwelt among us, sharing days, food, and sorrow with real people.
