The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24King James Version

Plain English

"This is the day which the LORD hath made" means this very day is a day the Lord has made. Hath means has. The singer then makes a choice: "we will rejoice and be glad in it." Gladness is something God's people can take up on purpose.

Devotional

Some mornings the coffee is plain and the sky is gray, and nothing on the calendar looks special. This ordinary day is still one the Lord has made. You can rejoice in it with Him even when the mood has not arrived on its own.
