The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Plain English
God says, "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed." Dismayed means shaken, and thou means you. The reason is "the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest," wherever you go. Courage here is a command joined to God's presence, not a mood you have to invent.
Devotional
A first visit to a new clinic, or a first week in a strange town, can make courage feel like a costume. Joshua was facing a land he had not walked yet. God did not say the road would be small. He said be strong and of good courage, because He would go along.
