The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Micah 6:8King James Version

Plain English

"He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good." Hath shewed means has shown, and thee means you. The Lord requires you "to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God." God wants a fair life, a love of mercy, and a humble walk with Him, and He has not hidden what is good.

Devotional

A scale at the store that cheats the customer is a small form of injustice. God cares about fair dealing, and He also cares whether we love mercy when we have the upper hand. The third part keeps us from pride: walk humbly with your God. Fair, merciful, and humble belong together.
