The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Plain English
"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance." Longsuffering means patience, meekness means a gentle humility, temperance means self-control, and faith here means a steady trust and faithfulness. This fruit grows because the Holy Spirit is at work. "Against such there is no law" means no command of God stands against a life like this.
Devotional
Apples do not appear because someone ties them onto the branches. They come from a living tree, and the Spirit's fruit is like that. Love, joy, peace, patience, and self-control grow in a person who stays joined to God. You still take part, but you are not the root.
