Plain English
"O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him." Taste and see means try Him and find out for yourself. Blessed means truly happy under God's favor, and trusteth means trusts. The goodness of the Lord is something a person discovers by trusting Him, not only by hearing a report.
Devotional
You learn whether the stew is good by tasting it, not by staring at the pot. The psalm invites that kind of personal trust. Taste and see that the Lord is good. The blessing belongs to the person who trusts Him, even before every problem is sorted out.
