The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber. Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Psalm 121:3-4King James Version

Plain English

"He will not suffer thy foot to be moved" means He will not let your foot slip away. "He that keepeth thee will not slumber" means the One who keeps you will not doze, and the Keeper of Israel "shall neither slumber nor sleep." God does not nod off, and His care runs through the night.

Devotional

A watchman who sleeps is no watchman. You may wake at two in the morning and feel that everyone who could help is gone. The Keeper of Israel is not among the sleepers. He will not slumber, and He guards the foot of the person who belongs to Him.
