The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17King James Version

Plain English

Paul says, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." A new creature means a new creation, a new person. Passed away means gone. In Christ you receive a real new start, not a thin coat of paint over the same old life.

Devotional

You carry the last box out of a cramped room where the walls still remember old arguments. The next place smells like soap, and the old keys go in a drawer you do not need. In Christ the new start is deeper than a change of address. God calls you a new person, and the old things do not get the last word.
