There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Plain English
Paul says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." Condemnation is a guilty sentence that still stands against you. In Christ Jesus that sentence is gone. He also speaks of walking after the Spirit rather than after the flesh, the old self-ruled life, because the Spirit leads the people who belong to Jesus.

You open a letter you dreaded, the kind that can turn a stomach before the first line. This time the notice says the case is finished and nothing is owed. Being in Christ is deeper than a piece of mail, yet the relief is in that direction. There is now no condemnation for those who are in Him.
