The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.

And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

Colossians 3:23-24King James Version

Plain English

Paul tells believers, "Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men." Whatsoever means whatever, heartily means with your whole heart, and ye and unto mean you and to. You serve the Lord Christ, so the work is for Him and not only for people who might notice. The inheritance His people receive comes from His hand, not from human applause.

Devotional

The floor is dull, and nobody is waiting to thank you for mopping it. You could rush and leave a dirty corner by the stove. Do the job as if the Lord Himself will walk across that floor. A quiet chore becomes an offering when it is done for Him and not for praise.
