The reading changes at midnight Central Time, and it stays the same all day.
Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.
Plain English
Solomon says, "Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it." Withhold not means do not hold it back, and thine hand means your hand, the ability you already have. If it is in your power to help, do the good. Do not keep back what you are able to give.
Devotional
Your neighbor's car will not start, and yours sits in the driveway with a full tank. It would be easy to close the curtain and call the afternoon your own. The good is in your power, and it belongs in action because you are able to help. A ride, a phone call, or an hour can be the good you were holding.
